The Stock Ticker Census

Back in the Golden Age of Wall Street, stock brokers used tickers to receive instant quotes over the telegraph lines for buying and selling stocks. I am conducting a census of pre-1930 Ticker Tape Machines to find out how many were made, how many still exist, and to make a list of various manufactures. I am hoping that the end result will also help in cases of theft to track down a ticker, and prevent fraud on eBay when criminal types use pictures downloaded off the web.

If you are a collector, or just happen to have an old vintage stock ticker lying around, send me a picture and it's serial number and I'll add it to the list. I plan to put up tons of pictures in the coming months, so stay tuned.
